The iconography of Michael Galovic follows three directions. Firstly are the replicas of existing prototypes of traditional icons. Secondly, and most significantly, are Michael's versions of these within the framework of what is admissible within tradition. Finally, there are the "new" icons created for the saints who have not been depicted as icons before, or are recently canonised saints such as: Hildegard of Bingen, St Patrick, St Finbar, St Brendan, St Aloysius, St Francis of Assisi, St Francis Xavier, St Therese Lisieux, St Marcellin Champagnat, St John the Baptist de la Salle and Blessed Mary MacKillop.
