EDITORIAL

THE WRITE STUFF

Research is a basic prerequisite to any study of a subject. Like an insurance policy, the more you cover a subject, the more authoritative the information becomes. Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary defines research as "... careful or diligent search ...", and the Oxford English Dictionary defines it as "... endeavour to discover new or collate old facts ..." aka The Write Stuff!

At Museum Imagineers our team always strives to interpret information about museum product development through proactive liaison with our clients, museum curators and industry experts.

At GeoGraphics Group we have over three decades' experience in taking care of the minutiae, double checking and triple checking everything we design and print.

At Honeysett Press, our publishing projects are, by their very nature, intensive examples of research which is developed into words and images.

You too can benefit from our expertise. Call now for your obligation free quote and to discuss your next project.

GEORGE JAKSIC & EAMON FENWICK

NATIONAL TRUST (NSW) AUSTRALIA

The National Trust (NSW) celebrates its Diamond Jubilee this year, 1945 - 2005. It is concerned with all heritage aspects, whether they be environmental, cultural or structural. It is well known for its traditional properties such as Old Government House in Parramatta, Dundullimal in Dubbo and Lindsay in Darling Point, Sydney.

The National Trust doesn't just preserve for posterity, but for the people. For example, one can view Norman Lindsay's artworks in the very studio and garden in which they were created at the Blue Mountains.

Richard Wesley, National Trust (NSW) Director of Properties and Museums recently invited George Jaksic to present a seminar focused on marketing and product development for major property managers. Various initiatives were outlined to enhance the value of museum stores and specific marketing principles to increase visitation and the bottom line.

George's extensive publishing experience and networking at the Museum Store Association in the USA and Museum Expressions in Paris, France helped demonstrate current trends and best practice within the heritage industry.
