EXCEPTIONAL ENEWS

A smart and cost effective way to communicate with clients is to consider the production of a savvy eNewsletter. Building up a database and ensuring the integrity of privacy and copyright issues can be a relatively simple exercise. Contact team@geographicsgroup.com for our new FAQ sheet about eNewsletters.

GeoGraphics Group has now produced its GeoNews for 21 issues (once every quarter) ... five years on we are finding this to be an exceptional tool to promote market reach.

Museum Imagineers has utilised this within the museum store world with great success. In each eNews issue we consolidate branding, pitch at all demographics (students, adults, families and seniors) to tell a story and sell a story. Maximum impact with minimum fuss!

EAMON FENWICK & GEORGE JAKSIC

MUSEUM EXPRESSIONS

George Jaksic, Joelle Marty
(General Manager, Museum Expressions)
and Eamon Fenwick.
George Jaksic and Eamon Fenwick attended the 10th annual Museum Expressions Expo at Palais des Congrès from 30 January to 1 February in Paris, France. Over 250 exhibitors were present displaying a wide selection of quality cultural products and services to museum representatives from around the world.

Seminars were also organised, including discussions between various museum members covering interesting aspects of museum operations. The topics were: Economic Perspectives & Challenges; Marketing: To Develop An Institution; The Challenges of Decentralisation: Legal and Managerial Implications; and Patrimonial Objects: Creativity Is A Must. This expo provided Museum Imagineers with the opportunity to network with key players in the European museum industry in addition to finding a selection of new and exciting products for our clients in Australia and abroad.

We were ably assisted by Joelle Marty, General Manager, Museum Expressions, with introductions to other representatives and access to office facilities. We were also introduced to Gilles Barissat, the President of Europeenne de Salons.

An award function was held that weekend at the Expo. Attendees were able to meet and greet in a social atmosphere and conference organisers were honoured for their efforts in making Museum Expressions such a great success.

ST LUKE THE EVANGELIST

Father Geoff Plant,
Cardinal George Pell (Archbishop of Sydney)
and artist Michael Galovic.
Michael Galovic is a master icon painter, having completed many commissions in Australia and internationally. Recently he produced an icon of St Luke The Evangelist for St Luke's Catholic School, Revesby, a western suburb of Sydney.

Cardinal George Pell blessed the icon and new buildings in a ceremony held on 22 March 2005.

GeoGraphics Group has been commissioned to utilise the image to produce quality GreetingCards. This serves as a memento and tells an interesting story about the Saint.

For more details regarding Michael Galovic's work, contact michael@geographicsgroup.com or call (+61 2) 9568 2444. Be inspired with a specially commissioned icon painting!

BERMUDA BIO

George Jaksic and Lauren Simons
at the entrance to the BAMZ Australasia exhibit.
Bermuda Aquarium Museum & Zoo is situated on North Shore Road at Flatts in Bermuda. It is a two hour flight south east of New York City, in the Atlantic Ocean. As the major museum attraction in this British colony, the mission at BAMZ is to "inspire appreciation and care of island environments." Visit www.bamz.org to learn more.

George Jaksic and Eamon Fenwick met with Lauren Simons, the Store and Concessions Manager, and Brian Lightbourn, the Museum's Director, in February 2005. Museum Imagineers has produced a large range of products for BAMZ since the late 1990s including colourful and educational BookMarks, PostCards and GiftWrap. We are currently researching new product lines in addition to reproducing existing merchandise. Interesting marketing initiatives are being proposed to enhance their museum store and delivery of the BAMZ mission to visitors.

Colourful fish, unique pink beaches, exotic animals such as the Caribbean Flamingoes and Green Turtles come alive on a range of educational paper products exported from Sydney. Did you know that Australia is represented in their zoo? There are wallabies, cockatoos and other Aussie creatures, showcasing Australia as the largest island continent with a unique and dynamic biodiversity.
